I made little glass beads on a torch to represent a face-eyes,nose and a mouth, mr potato head style-and wired them to an old paint brush and waited for it to tell me a story. His standing straight up in the air brush hair seemed like it was the result of overreach- a version of of the Old Man in The Sea crossing paths with Moby DIck. What’s the lesson again? There are consequences with our good fortune... Watch what you fish for… Tragic tales are the ones that get recounted… anyway, the fused glass Blue Whale seems friendly enough. This mythic tale is framed in an old window painted so many times it seems to have it’s own anguished tale to tell. The metal is from an old trailer, siding and roofing tin. 28" x 18" Shipping Included.
