This sculpture depicts the childhood joy of playing a game of baseball. When I was young there was an empty field of weeds in my neighborhood. Some of us neighborhood kids would get together there and play baseball. None of us were very good but we always had fun. We didn’t worry about winning or losing, in fact I don’t think we ever kept score. We would just play! That is until one of the neighborhood dogs would grab the ball and run off with it. This sculpture is a tribute to those days. The first edition of this sculpture was installed at the little league baseball fields in Saint Anthony, Idaho
