These are Raku vases. Raku is a firing method which involves removing a red-hot vessel and placing them in a container of combustible materials, leaving the vessel to cool in a reduction atmosphere. The process is very smoky and requires introducing oxygen at strategic times during the cooling in order to achieve the desired glaze effects. The sizes of these vases are 9”w/3”h, 10”w/4”h respectively. These vessels are porous and are purely decorative. I do not recommend putting water in them, dry arrangements only.

Choose from Poppy Ikebana ($95) or Echinacea Ikebana ($105)
